DISCOVER archaeological finds in Derbyshire and the Peak District at Archaeology Day 2013.
Taking place at Chesterfield’s Pomegranate Theatre on Saturday, January 19, the day will include presentations on tracing the original site of Bakewell’s High Cross and a medieval road, new evidence of pre-historic settlements and workers’ housing in the Derwent Valley following the industrial revolution.
The annual Archaeology Day is organised by heritage teams from the Peak District National Park Authority, Derbyshire Council and Chesterfield Council.
The day, 9.15am-5.15pm, costs £12 – or £8 for the unwaged.
Pre-booking is essential as the event has sold out for the past three years – call 01246 345727 to book.
