POLICE carried out night-time checks on bouncers at pubs and bars in Barnsley to check they were all registered.
Investigators from the Security Industry Authority and officers from South Yorkshire Police visited 12 venues and inspected 31 door staff.
They found all were licensed correctly but one bar manager was suspected of employing an in-house security manager without a licence.
The aim of the operation was to ensure security companies supplying staff to licensed premises were employing registered staff and gather information about individuals, venues and companies operating in the area.
SIA head of investigation Darren Woodhouse said: “One issue was found which we are looking into but these results are encouraging.”
