Cockney music legends Chas and Dave are to headline next year’s Cusworth Music Festival in Doncaster.
Tickets for the show - almost a year from now - will go on sale on Friday morning and are expected to prove popular with music lovers from across the country as the pair have a devoted cult following.
The duo - Chas Hodges and Dave Peacock - have enjoyed a long musical career, first coming to prominence nationally in the 80s with hits such as Rabbit, Ain’t No Pleasin’ You, Gertcha and The Sideboard Song (Got My Beer In The Sideboard Here).
They also enjoyed success with football songs Tottenham, Tottenham, Ossie’s Dream and Snooker Loopy, recorded with a host of top snooker players including Steve Davis, Dennis Taylor and Willie Thorne.
The outdoor concert will take place at Cusworth Hall on August 24, 2014 and early bird tickets, priced at £19 are available at www.cusworthmusicfestival.co.uk or on 01472 349222 from 9am on Friday.
More acts will be added to the bill over the coming months and the announcement comes hot on the heels of terminally ill rocker Wilko Johnson headlining this year’s festival.
