VOLUNTEERS at a Doncaster charity shop have plenty to celebrate.
The British Heart Foundation shop at The Colonnades centre marked its 20th birthday, while a number of those who work there marked their own landmarks with the organisation.
Leading the way was Christine Chalcroft, who was handed a long service award for working 15 years at the shop. Her colleague Brenda White was handed a long service certificate for her 10 years service, while Pauline Coleman received recognition of her five years’ service.
Area manager Michael Parkin said: “We’ve enjoyed a fantastic 20 years of business in Doncaster.
“I’d like to take this opportunity to thank all our loyal customers and volunteers who really make this shop special and help the BHF continue its lifesaving work in the fight against heart disease.
“We are looking forward to welcoming ever more customers in Doncaster and making the next 20 years equally successful!”
