AMBITIOUS soldiers have been taking part in a 500-mile charity walk – all within a Doncaster supermarket.
Three Territorial Army soldiers from Doncaster are talking turns to walk an incredible 500 miles on a treadmill at Asda supermarket in Lakeside.
Doncaster-based TA soldiers Pte Michael Fiedor, Cpl Lee Gibbons and Pte Nathan Kendall are taking part in the walk to help raise money for the charity Help for Heroes.
To add to the gruelling challenge the soldiers are wearing full Army uniform and carrying 15kg backpacks.
Pte Fiedor, of The Holmstead in Bentley, said they thought Help for Heroes’ work was important.
He said: “We are Territorial Army and we have got guys out in Afghanistan and we are also going out next year to do a tour.”
