A POPULAR Sheffield pub staged a bank holiday charity event in aid of the Help for Heroes campaign.
Afternoon action at the Sportsman at Lodge Moor was kicked off by a charity football match with half-time entertainment provided by Liz and her Dancing Dog.
For youngsters there was a bouncy castle, face painting and Punch and Judy, while everyone enjoyed a barbecue and bought tickets for the raffle.
In the evening the entertainment moved inside with a show by a trio Mojo. who played a selection of rock classics from down the decades.
One of the organisers, Roger Purdy, said: “All the proceeds from the event will go to that most worthy of causes, Help for Heroes.
“We are hopeful that the turnout we’ve had will mean we’ll be able to hand over a really healthy sum.”
