A CHARITY shop in a Sheffield suburb is making a plea for donations of clothes and other items as shelves and rails stand empty.
The Age UK shop in Crookes is struggling to meet demands after donations plummeted over the last three months.
Anita Darling, manager of the Crookes store, said: “Our store room is almost empty. We cannot cope with the increasing demand if nothing else comes in, we simply can’t sell fresh air!”
The shop needs good quality items of any size, including clothes, crockery, books and DVDs. Staff encourage people to fill in a Gift Aid form when they donate as it increases the value of donations by 25 per cent.
