A FUNDRAISING dinner for the RSPCA’s Sheffield Animal Centre helped generate more than £7,300 for creatures in need.
The event, at Baldwin’s Omega, Brincliffe Hill, Sheffield, included cocktails, food, an auction and music from the Harlem Nights.
Kath Whitlam, centre chairman, said: “It was a wonderful night and everyone who bought tickets had the added satisfaction of knowing they were raising money for a worthy cause.
“Nearly 200 people attended and we hope to have even more next year. We are so thankful to the organisations and people who donated things to be auctioned.”
The RSPCA Sheffield Animal Centre is a registered separately to the national charity, and is self-funding and reliant on public donations.
The centre costs about £2,000 a day to run.
