Stealing from the changing rooms at The Dome is being investigated by police who hope readers of The Star can identify a suspect.

Officers probing the theft at Doncaster leisure park have released a CCTV image of a man they would like to speak to, as they believe he may hold vital information about it.

The incident occurred around 1.40pm on Thursday, February 21, at the leisure centre on Bawtry Road.

“It is believed personal belongings, including a credit card and an iPhone was taken from the changing rooms while the owner was using the swimming pool,” said a South Yorkshire Police spokesman.

It was later discovered that there had been fraudulent use of the credit card.

The incident is the latest in a series of thefts of valuables from the changing area at The Dome in recent years and security measures have been upgraded.

Anyone with any information is urged to contact South Yorkshire Police on 101 quoting incident 667 of February 21 or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
