FIND out about the final journey of Mary Queen of Scots at the Winding Wheel in Chesterfield on Wednesday evening.
Set between 1584 and 1587 her journey from Sheffield to Fotheringhay marked her trip into final seclusion under her zealous new custodian Sir Amyas Paulet.
The story is presented by David Templeton.
During the presentation he will recall how she became involved in the Babbington plot at Chartley Manor when she was charged with high treason.
It details how her spirited defence at the trial was followed by her dramatic execution.
A spokesman said: “This is the final instalment in the story of one of the great historical figures and all the qualities come to the fore in this exciting chapter of her life.”
The presentation starts at 7.30pm.
