YOUNGSTERS in South Yorkshire can meet an array of creepy creatures during the half-term holidays.
Snakes, spiders, rats and bugs will be the guests of honour in a week of animal workshops at Magna Science and Adventure Centre. Wildlife experts from Animals In-Tuition will be at the Rotherham tourist attraction every day from October 29 to November 2.
Kids will get the chance to learn how to make their own gruesome slime in time for Halloween, while half-term will also provide the last chance to see the centre’s ‘Giants of the Infinitesimal’ exhibition of sculptures which bring the tiny world of nano-science to life.
Richard Smith, visitor services manager at Magna, said: “Any parents looking for ideas to keep their children entertained this half-term should think about a trip to Magna. We’ve put together a programme we think will appeal to a range of age groups. We’ll be in the Halloween spirit with plenty of pumpkins and scary decorations.”
