More than 70 businesses and community groups from across the region will be at Sheffield’s Cutlers Hall for a celebration hosted by the Mistress Cutler.
At the event, between 5.30pm and 9pm next Wednesday, the official total of fundraising for Sheffield Children’s Hospital Charity through the Mistress Cutler’s Challenge will be revealed.
Prizes will also be given out to fundraisers.
The challenge is normally run by the Master Cutler – but this year’s event was run by Master Cutler Neil MacDonald’s wife, Julie.
Each participating company and community group was given £50 and had six months to turn it into as much money as possible for Sheffield Children’s Hospital Charity using their entrepreneurial skills.
On Wednesday the competing teams will come together for the awards evening where winners will be announced, with extra prizes being given such as outstanding contribution by an individual and a young person’s award.
The three teams that raise the most money will be invited to The Mistress Cutler’s Ball at the The Cutler’s Hall on Friday, September 20.
Mistress Cutler Julie said: “Among the fundraising groups are accountants, law firms, schools, manufacturing businesses, and many departments from Sheffield Children’s Hospital. Fundraising events included firewalks, Zumbathons, wine tasting, concerts, fashion swaps and leg waxes.”
