Stainless steel, coffee and homemade cakes will be the unusual combination at an event taking place on Tuesday.

Retro editor and author of 100 Years of Stainless Steel Sheffield, Nancy Fielder, will be giving a talk about the book at Homemade Cafe in Nether Edge from 7.30pm.

Tickets cost £6 including tea, coffee and a selection of homemade cakes.

The centenary celebration book and a selection of others will be available to buy on the night.

The event is being organised in association with Galvanize Sheffield, the Festival of Contemporary Metal.
