GET your hands dirty or just enjoy a Sheffield neighbourhood’s new look at a special event on Sunday.
Community charity Art in the Park has been working with more than 130 people in Broomhall to create inspired designs for benches, noticeboards and welcome markers.
The pieces were then tailor-made for the area by professional artists.
Now everyone has the chance to see them during a Broomhall Celebration at Lynwood Gardens, off Clarkehouse Road, between 12.30pm and 5pm.
The event begins with an arts walk, visiting each of the newly-installed pieces and places of interest.
Poet Noel Williams will guide visitors, there will be chance to draw, sketch and write poetry inspired by Broomhall and do some urban gardening from midday to 2pm.
The event finishes with a party in Lynwood Gardens, including a treasure hunt and free refreshments.
Luisa Golob from Art in the Park said: “This event will be a fantastic celebration of all the hard work poured into Broomhall by so many people. It will leave visitors and local residents alike with a different impression of the area than expected.”
