Casualties freed by firefighters

A WOMAN needed to be cut free from her car by firefighters after a crash on the A61.

The collision happened near Tupton, Chesterfield, just after 8.50pm on Tuesday, and involved two cars.

Firefighters had to remove the roof from the woman’s car before rescuing her, and she was taken to hospital to be treated for her injuries.

Another woman was also freed from a car following a smash on Doe Quarry Lane, Dinnington, Rotherham, at midnight on Saturday. Firefighters removed the casualty from the wreckage and she was taken to hospital for treatment for an injured back.
