Bond girls working for the Royal Mail in Sheffield have organised their very own charity ball.
The Casino ‘Royale Mail’ ball will be held at The Mercure Hotel on Saturday evening in aid of the Bluebell Wood Children’s Hospice.
The James Bond themed event will also give guests a chance to get up close and personal with an Aston Martin V12 S - one of Mr Bond’s cars of choice. The car will also be on display in Millennium Square from 1pm on Saturday and visitors can have a photo taken with it in return for a donation to the charity.
Organiser Lesley Ward, who works at the Royal Mail branch on Pond Street, Sheffield city centre, said: “At Royal Mail we have a company forum and try to do a lot of work in the community.
“We’ve done some volunteering in the Bluebell Wood charity shops so thought it would be an ideal charity to benefit from this event.”
The ball runs from 7pm to 2am and features reception drinks, a four-course dinner, casino tables, a photo booth, a charity auction and raffle, entertainment and celebrity guests.
Tickets are £55 per person, £100 for two or £500 for a table of ten. To book, email firstname.lastname@example.org.
