Cash grants to help community groups carry out vital work

Three projects to improve community spaces in Sheffield have received a funding boost from the Veolia Environmental Trust.

Heeley Parish Church on Gleadless Road has been awarded £48,302 which will be spent on upgrading its kitchen and toilet facilities.

A grant of £25,375 has been awarded to Park Community Action to refurbish the Park Centre on Samson Street, Sheffield.

And the Christian Centre, on Cedar Road, has received £21,000 to improve the building’s energy-efficiency.

A new boiler and windows will be installed.
