YOUNGSTERS from a Doncaster school raised cash to pay for hampers for pensioners living in their neighbourhood.
Sixth formers from Campsmount School, at Ryecroft Road, Norton, raised funds by having a disco and also collected food and money from younger pupils at the school.
In all, their efforts allowed them to put together 130 hampers.
The sixth formers then got together to distribute the hampers to elderly people in the area.
School spokeswoman Ruth Watkinson said: “Our sixth formers have collected food to create hampers for the elderly around this catchment area.
“This is something they do every year and they put a lot of their own time and effort in.”
