Further strike action by employees of Care UK has been announced this week.
The walk-out will be for a further three weeks starting at 7am on September 29 and concluding at 7am on October 20.
The most recent of several strikes saw staff off work for 21 days, finishing on September 15 in a dispute over pay and conditions.
Responding to the news, Chris Hindle, Care UK’s director of learning disability services, said: “A further strike is wholly unnecessary and irresponsible.
“Care UK has offered talks with ACAS, including an offer of binding arbitration between the union and company positions. Unison is again rushing to industrial action before even giving consideration to the proposal for binding arbitration which has been on the table for more than two weeks.”
