CARE service users are being asked for their views about possible changes to financial contributions they are expected to make.
Sheffield Council is holding a consultation event at the Town Hall between 2pm and 4pm on Wednesday, May 25.
A council spokesman said: “The Government assumes that councils will raise some of the cost of providing social care support by asking for contributions towards the cost. If the council didn’t raise this money it wouldn’t have enough income to provide the amount of support needed across the city.”
But he added: “No-one will be asked to contribute more than they can afford to pay.”
During the consultation event, there will be a short presentation and people will be able to speak to officials about their circumstances.
