DRIVERS whose cars need a spring clean can take their mucky motors to a fundraising car wash at a Sheffield nursing home on Saturday.
Staff from the Park View Care Home in Shiregreen will be picking up their buckets and chamois leathers to collect money for their residents’ activities fund.
The event runs from 11am to 3pm on the care home’s car park, with a wash and rinse costing £3.50.
Proceeds will be used to pay for days out such as trips to the seaside.
Workers have enlisted the support of their children to help out.
Park View has 60 residents, and caters for the elderly and people with dementia.
It has its own lounge and dining rooms, as well as a sensory garden and hairdressing salon.
Residents can even watch movies in a special cinema room.
