A TEENAGE girl is recovering from a broken leg after a hit-and-run collision on a pelican crossing on the A18 near Doncaster.
Police in Doncaster are appealing for witnesses to the incident on Dunsville High Street last month.
The incident took place at a pedestrian crossing at around 7pm on Saturday January 22.
A 15-year-old girl started to cross the pedestrian crossing with a friend when the traffic lights turned to red.
Traffic on one side of the road stopped, but one car went through the red light and hit the girl. She sustained a fractured knee.
The car, described as small, red and with four doors, stopped further up the road, but then drove off. Anyone with information should call 0114 220 2020 quoting incident 556 of January 23.
