BEAMING baby Lily-Rose Howarth is a picture of the festivities as she gears up for her first Christmas.
The four-month-old’s cute snap was sent in by her proud mum Sam Ledger for The Star’s Christmas Cracker photograph competition.
We’re asking people to send in their images of festively-decorated homes and dressed children or pets from across South Yorkshire.
All the images will be published in a special supplement and a public vote will select three lucky winners of some top high street prizes.
The only rule is that there must be a Yuletide theme to the photographs.
Sam, of Shiregreen, said: “I’d taken the picture of Lily-Rose just the day before I saw the competition and thought it would be good to enter it.
“It’s her first Christmas so we have a big banner saying that and she’s got lots of presents lined up as well.
“Hopefully we will also win the competition – that would be great.”
Entries have been coming in for the contest but time is running out to take part.
All photographs must be sent in to us by midnight next Wednesday, December 12.
After the supplement is published those three lucky winners - chosen by a public vote - will each take home a £30 Boots voucher and a tin of tasty chocolates donated by Asda.
Emma Angell, regional promotions manager for Sheffield Newspapers, said: “We’re hoping to see hundreds of houses covered in festive lights, cats dressed as Santa Claus and the cutest Christmas kids from all across South Yorkshire submitted by readers.
“It’s an opportunity for people to really show off their fun side and creativity.
“There are also prizes to be won which will go towards making Christmas go with a bang this year for our lucky winners.”
To enter your pictures email firstname.lastname@example.org by Wednesday December 12. Images can also be dropped off for our promotions team at The Star offices on York Street, Sheffield.
