Campaign aims to halt Royal Mail privatisation

POSTAL workers appealed to shoppers and workers in Sheffield city centre to support their campaign against privatisation of the Royal Mail.

Representatives of the Communication Workers' Union are driving from John O'Groats to Land's End delivering a giant postcard to protest at the plans.

They took a break from the mission to park up outside Sheffield Town Hall and speak to passersby about the controversial proposals.

The posties are stopping at as many towns and cities as they can while making the journey south to tell the public their concerns about the plans.
