CCTV cameras could be used on a village recreation ground in a bid to identify yobs who are holding late night drinking sessions and riding quad bikes into the early hours.
Treeton Parish Council has asked Rotherham Council to site their mobile community CCTV cameras on the recreation ground known as The Cow Field as soon as possible.
And police have warned that the quad bikes and any other vehicles being used for the late night activities could be confiscated.
Parish council chairman Coun John Swift said: “These yobs are boozing every night of the week and driving round in circles on the Cow Field in the early hours of the morning disturbing people living nearby.
“We hope that once they have been identified on the CCTV cameras action will be taken against them or they will stop these anti-social activities.”
