SCHOOLBOY Kieran Waite is the king of high vis.

The eight-year-old was presented with a consignment of high visibility vests for his school, Warmsworth Primary School, after designing a logo for a campaign to stop people parking on yellow lines and zig zag lines outside school gates.

Kieran’s design of a bumble bee, called PC Bumble, was turned into a large stand up figure, and is carried on the high visibility vests issued to schools.

Mayor Peter Davies said: “Kieran did an excellent job designing this logo.”

The vest will be used by pupils to help them to be seen when they go out on school visits.
