Businesses in South Yorkshire are being urged to get their running shoes on ahead of the first Yorkshire Marathon later this year.
The 26.2 mile York race, which takes place on Sunday, October 20, is already full, with 5,500 runners ready to take part.
But businesses are being offered the chance to enter the James Potter Eggs Yorkshire Marathon Corporate Relay, which will see teams of six compete against each other for the title of the faster firm in Yorkshire.
The relay was launched by James Potts and former England international footballer Danny Mills.
Danny, who will be leading a team in the corporate relay, said: “The Yorkshire Marathon is going to be the biggest sporting event in the region 2013 and I’m excited to be a part of it. I’ll be running the first leg in a team and I’m looking forward to soaking up the fantastic atmosphere around the course.”
It will cost £300 for a team of six to enter the race, which includes race day hospitality.
