Vote to give go ahead to best community project in town

An event is to be held in Rotherham where tenants and residents can vote on which community projects should be funded through public donations.

The ROTherFUNDZ dinner will be at Silverwood Miners’ Welfare on Saturday, November 22, but people wanting to pitch their plans need to have applications in by August 29.

Each presenter has four minutes to share their idea and answer four questions from the audience.

At the end of the evening votes are counted and the winner goes home with all the money raised to carry out the project.

RotherFed will put in an initial £100 and £1 of the ticket price is also added to the prize as will be proceeds from the raffle and any other donations from sponsors and other supporters.
