Three business savvy students from a Sheffield school raised £500 for their chosen charity – after starting with seed funding of just £25.

Thirteen-year-olds Cara Murphy, Ellie Fowler and Ellen Smith from All Saints RC High on Granville Road presented their profits to Lauren Mallinson from the British Heart Foundation.

The trio turned over £1,200 after successfully selling heart-shaped crafts at venues such as schools, markets and fairs.

Funds will go to support BHF’s Mending Broken Hearts Appeal, which is working to find a cure for heart failure.
