A new Tesco Express store opens in Sheffield city centre on February 11.
The Church Street store, opposite the Cathedral, will host an opening event from 8am, with a ribbon cutting ceremony at 10am.
The store is set to donate a cheque for hundreds of pounds to homeless charity the Cathedral Archer project, and staff are planning a raffle during the course of the first week to raise funds for Diabetes UK.
In addition, a Harry Hill lookalike will be hanging around the store on the day to provide entertainment to the customers.
Deputy manager Samantha Crouch said: “We will also have a tasting table with all sorts of Yorkshire lines, such as Yorkshire cheese on toast made from Warburtons bread and Henderson’s Relish.
“There will be some Kelham Island beer too and much more.”
The new store’s usual opening hours will be 6am to 11pm seven days a week.
