Sheffield internet firm Plusnet comes out on top
THE Sheffield-based internet service provider PlusNet, has hit the jackpot in the UK's largest ever independent survey of customer satisfaction.
The survey, by uSwitch.com, the independent price comparison and switching service found PlusNet beat all comers in nine of the 11 categories and had increased its popularity by eight per cent.
The Tenter Street company was named best overall service provider, with 86 per cent customer satisfaction.
PlusNet was the ISP that was most likely to be recommended by its customers, gave the best customer service and technical support, provided the best quality of connection and was also best for speed satisfaction, ease of use and setup support.

The BT subsidiary shared the accolade for offering the best value for money with SKY, which also won on providing the 'best deal for you,' while TalkTalk was the only other ISP to get a look in – being named best for billing.
USwitch says PlusNet has put clear blue water between itself and its competitors, topping its poll for the second time running.
PlusNet chief executive, Neil Laycock, said: "We're absolutely phenomenally delighted.
"PlusNet has been Sheffield's best kept secret and it's really good to get national recognition."
