Pub revamp is ‘first class job’

WORK to transform a Sheffield pub has been completed at a cost of £80,000.

The project has seen the Bulls Head, Ranmoor, receive a new layout, signage and landscaping outside.

And the work has been given the thumbs-up by one of the regulars.

Gerry Dabell, aged 69, who has been visiting the pub since he was 18, said: “The pub was a wine bar for a time and, although I didn’t stop going in entirely, it wasn’t my type of place. But now it’s a proper pub again and I’m absolutely delighted. They’ve done a first-class job with the refurbishment and turned it into a great local.”

The improvements have been carried out by South Yorkshire firm WL Leisure and pub company Enterprise Inns. New management team Gill and Chris Naylor are now running the pub, which first opened in 1851, when it was called The Highland Laddie.

Pub company spends money on refurbishment shock! Well I suppose there's a first time for everything.
