Paws at pet store to help charities

A spring fundraising drive has been launched to raise vital funds for animal sanctuaries and charities in Sheffield.

Animal charity Support Adoption for Pets is working with Pets at Home’s three Sheffield stores – at Heeley Retail Park, Kilner Way Retail Park in Wadsley Bridge, and Drake House Retail Park, Drakehouse – to raise money and awareness for Labrador Welfare, Rotherham Dog Rescue, Sheffield Hallam Cats Protection and Sheffield Cat Shelter.

It is inviting customers to buy a £1 raffle ticket to win such prizes as a car or TV.

Customers can also take part in a ‘round up to a pound’ initiative and round up the cost of their purchases to the nearest pound, with the difference going to the appeal, which runs until May 13.

Amy Wilson, charity manager, said: “Customers in Sheffield are always generous. We hope this means we will be able to help even more sanctuaries and charities in need of help.”
