Nightclub plans set for approval

OWNERS of a Sheffield nightclub are seeking planning permission to stay in business for a further three years.

DQ, Fitzwilliam Street, the city centre, currently has permission to be a restaurant and public bar, but has no limits on opening hours.

Its bosses have applied to Sheffield Council for a three-year temporary consent to open as a nightclub between 10pm and 4am on any day each week.

The proposal has been recommended for approval by planning officers.

A decision on the application is set to be made by the city centre, south and east planning board on Monday.
