Adrian Hawley joins Taylor and Emmet ADRIAN Hawley has joined Sheffield solicitor Taylor and Emmet as its first law costs draughtsman, with the job of helping to determine the cost of legal aid cases and dealing with the increasing work created by the firm's family department.
Mr Hawley started his career as an insurance broker and worked as a recruitment consultant, before training as a law costs draughtsman,
working for Wake Smith in Sheffield and then Zermansky's in Leeds.
Nic's now Uber's head of digital
CREATIVE agency Uber has recruited former McCann Erickson senior project director Nic Jones, as its new head of digital.Mr Jones has a wealth of experience within the digital sector, working with clients such as Thomas Cook, Vodafone and Aldi.
Manager's position for Anne Adolph
ANNE Adolph, originally from Napier, New Zealand, has been named bar and restaurant manager at the new, four star Copthorne Hotel in Sheffield.She has moved to Sheffield from the Copthorne Hotel in Cardiff, where she worked with Michelin starred chef Daniel James, who has also moved to Sheffield.
Gillian Sabin is named a Fellow
GILLIAN Sabin, co-founder of Sheffield-based Haigh Homes, has been named a Fellow of The Chartered Institute of Marketing.
She established Haigh Homes two years ago, with Richard Floyd, and has responsibility for sales and marketing as well as land acquisition.She said: "I have worked in marketing for more than twenty years now and
during that time I have gained a great deal of knowledge and experience. "I was very pleased that the Chartered Institute of Marketing have recognised these skills by awarding me with the status of Fellow."Starting a new housing development company in 2007 was not exactly the best timing but I am sure that with the quality and design of our product and effective marketing we can buck the trend and build a very successful company."
Chris appointed head of sales
MOTORWAY Direct, the Sheffield-based company which operates AA Warranty, has appointed Chris McDonald, 42, as head of sales.
Mr McDonald is moving from the group's award winning consumer data specialist, Trading Floor.Motorway Direct's core products are the warranties which used car dealers either sell or give away with their cars and GAP Insurance, which covers the difference between the amount someone pays for a vehicle and the amount an insurance company pays out if it is written off.The company also provides "Block Insurance" for prestige dealers who prefer to give a company guarantee when they sell a car and schemes linked to specific manufacturers as well as dealing directly with members of the public who want to protect their vehicles against potential problems when the dealer's warranty runs out.
