Move in right direction as entrepreneurs score with portable goal
A trio of Sheffield entrepreneurs are hoping to score with what they claim is the world's most portable goal.
The Kickster is the brainchild of Allen Holland and William Parsons, who run product design consultancy, Wares Design.
With financial backing from Steven Crosby they have launched a new business called Quick Play Sport to sell the patented Kickster.
The Kickster comes in two sizes, the PRO 2000 and PRO 3600.
The PRO 2000 weighs 3.5kg (7.7lbs), is 2.0m (6.5ft) wide and 1.4m (4.5ft) high, while the PRO 3600 is the official size for junior football.
Quick Play Sport's joint managing director, Allen Holland, said: "With football becoming more and more popular, children and adults want a more professional experience and the Kickster football goal provides a neat solution.
"The Kickster could mark the end of jumpers for goal posts as it is quick to erect and packs away neatly into its own carry bag."
Quick Play Sport is now turning its attention to other sporting equipment which it reckons is bulky, ineffective, difficult to use and based on outdated designs.
