Money advice for households

HOUSING management company Berneslai Homes has set up a financial inclusion team to provide advice for cash-strapped households.

Two officers, Kathryn Osborn and Marcia Cunningham, will be on hand to speak to residents around Barnsley who have money worries.

Mark McGee, Berneslai Homes housing management director, said: “With all the major changes to welfare reform which are coming into place next month it’s essential as a landlord that we offer support and advice to our tenants who will be affected.”

Advice will be available on opening bank and credit union accounts, budgeting, rent arrears and changes to benefits.

n Email financialinclusionteam@berneslaihomes.co.uk or call 01226 774 270 to contact the team.
