Laurels for top lawyer Laura

A TRAINEE solicitor at a Doncaster law firm has become the latest recipient of a prestigious award aimed at recognising legal talent.

Laura Armstrong, aged 25, clinched the Sidney Herbert Clay award for being the most successful student on the Legal Practice Diploma course and then going on to work within 20 miles of Sheffield.

Laura, who is currently working within the personal injury team at Atherton Godfrey, said: “The award has gone to trainees at the Sheffield offices of global law firm, DLA Piper for the last seven years, so it’s great it goes to a different firm this year.”
