TELEMARKETING specialist Ant Marketing has unveiled plans to create 200 jobs in Shefield during the next year, as Deputy Prime Minister, Nick Clegg officially opened the company’s fourth South Yorkshire site.

Ant currently employs 750 people in and around Sheffield, and has invested £2 million in a state-of-the-art contact centre at Antenna House on St Mary’s Road, Sheffield.

Santander Corporate Banking backed the acquisition and refurbishment of the centre, which will work on behalf of British Gas and other household name businesses.

Mr Clegg said: “I am always glad to see Sheffield companies grow and everyone at Ant should be very proud of their success.”

Ant Marketing’s founder, Anthony Hinchliffe, added: “We are seeing an increase in the number of companies outsourcing and in particular a growing demand for outbound services.”
