Hi-tech firm hits bullseye

A small South Yorkshire company, which designs and manufactures cutting edge electronics for some of the world's top technology companies, has been so successful that it is moving to larger premises on the Advanced Manufacturing Park.

Arrow Technical was founded 14 years ago by electronics expert Dr Chris Worrall in his back bedroom.

Since then it has grown consistently and now counts companies like Microsoft, Rolls-Royce, BAE Systems and Morphy Richards among its clients.

Arrow's four-strong team has more than doubled since the company moved to the Advanced Manufacturing Park Technology Centre two years ago and the company has now acquired a larger unit within the Park's latest development 'Evolution@the AMP.

Chris Worrall said: "Image counts in business and since moving to the AMP our location and facilities have impressed customers and contributed to our rapid growth.

"There is no question that being at the AMP has been good for business, in terms of the location, which offers excellent access, the high-tech look of the place, and the opportunities for networking with professionals working at the cutting edge of technology. We are looking forward to moving into Evolution and inviting our customers to visit the new factory."

Property consultants Lambert Smith Hampton acted on behalf of owners UK Strategic Partnership in the sale of the 3,100sq ft Evolution unit.

Ed Norris, industrial and logistics agent at LSH's Sheffield office, said: "The AMP is considered one of, if not the finest business locations in the UK. With its flexible, high-specification accommodation, and excellent multi-modal transport connections, the AMP makes a highly attractive proposition for all forward thinking manufacturing."
