CSE Global (UK), the Eckington-based software developer and systems integrator, is celebrating its fifth year of record growth, despite the global recession.

The Singapore-owned firm, which used to be known as the CSE Servelec Group, has boosted pre-tax profits by 40 per cent on record sales of 30 million after investing 1 million in an investment programme that has created 50 new jobs.

Managing director Alan Stubbs said: "The Company has had another very good year despite the challenging environment. We have now delivered five successive years of record revenue and profits.

"Our results reflect an exceptional year for all our business divisions and we are confident that the excellent year-end order bank and our current prospects will enable sustained growth and development which will form a solid platform for further success in 2009".

CSE Global serves a diverse range of industries, including water, oil and gas, energy and healthcare in the UK and as far afield as the Middle East and Africa.

Customers include the BBC, the UK Meteorological Office, BT, Welsh Water, the NHS and BP.

During the last year the company has worked on the RiO Health and Integrated Care Record System, which is being implemented by the Mental Health and Primary Care Trusts in London, in addition to major telemetry systems for the BBC World Service and the Met Office.

CSE Global (UK)'s subsidiaries include CSE Controls, CSE Healthcare Systems and CSE Servelec.

In addition to designing and supplying control systems, the company also specialises in getting different manufacturers' hardware to 'talk' to each other and work together, using remote telemetry, where necessary.
