A business owner has come up with a bright new way to welcome visitors to Sheffield during the Tour De France Grand Depart next July.
House of Logos, Attercliffe, has been designing badges and pins in Sheffield for nearly 40 years.
Now they have launched a gleaming new design which features the classic white Yorkshire rose with the words ‘Friend of Yorkshire’ written underneath.
Mark Elliot, chief executive of the company, said: “We want businesses to give the badges out to visitors for free during the Tour De France to give their brand a lasting impression.”
The badge made its debut to the public on Yorkshire Day at the start of August.
Mr Elliot said his wider plan was to ‘cement relationships with every non-Yorkshire person on the planet’ and show visitors ‘how friendly Yorkshire is’.
It is not the first time that House of Logos has undertaken such a venture.
Businesses will have the opportunity to request tailor-made pins featuring the name of their company on the badge.
