A huge warehouse and office building could be created at a former colliery site near Chesterfield.
Planning permission is being sought for the 100,000 sq ft development at the former Seymour Colliery, as part of the multi-million Markham Vale redevelopment. Work could start in the autumn.
Outline planning permission has already been granted for the development, which would be funded as part of a £14.2m Government grant.
Permission is being sought for its appearance.
Coun Joan Dixon, Derbyshire County Council’s cabinet member for jobs, economy and transport, said: “This is a really exciting time for Markham Vale, with development really starting to gain pace.”
Chesterfield Council will consider the application in September.
