It’s all pistons go at a new community garage designed to drive down unemployment.

Ignition Autos is Doncaster’s new not for profit community garage providing opportunities for those struggling to find work.

Staff at Ignition Autos are working in partnership with The M25 community housing and support group which is supplying the garage workshop which is based on its hostel premises in Wharf Road behind Homebase, off Wheatley Hall Road.

Managing director David Brazer said: “Ignition is set up to operate as a normal working garage providing customers with a first class service from our qualified mechanics with over 25 years’ experience in the trade.

“As a community sector company we will also be using the garage services to train and support the next generation of mechanics through delivery of practical accredited skills development opportunities for local people to gain skills for future employment in the motor industry.

“Ignition is a company with a difference. We want to offer the car drivers of Doncaster the chance to support an initiative that aims to drive down local unemployment levels just by using our services for their routine vehicle needs.”

The new enterprise, part of the Citadel Associates Group, is a community employment and training provider which has been operating in Doncaster since 2008. Find out more on 01302 260433 or by visting www.ignition.org.uk
