Forgemasters praised by minister for skills during visit

Minister for Skills John Hayes praised Sheffield Forgemasters as a shining example of apprentice recruitment and training when he visited the company’s Brightside Lane works during National Apprenticeship Week.

The company is currently training 70 apprentices.

Mr Hayes said during his visit that the Government was trying to make apprentice recruitment easier and less bureaucratic for companies and to highlight the benefits apprentices brought to businesses.
