Diesel giant opts
for Newburgh
Newburgh Engineering has won a contract to make engine components for world-beating diesel and gas engine manufacturer Perkins.
The Rotherham company secured the contract after successfully completing Perkins’ stringent supplier tendering process.
Managing director Vincent Middleton said: “This is a fantastic achievement for the Rotherham team, who have worked tirelessly to secure a contract which will see us build a working partnership with Perkins.”
Newburgh says its factory in Bradwell, Derbyshire has worked on smaller contracts for Perkins in the past.
