Development plans scrutiny

A MEETING is to take place to discuss a South Yorkshire council’s plans to attract new jobs and improve transport links.

Barnsley Council’s Economy and Skills Scrutiny Commission will discuss the proposals at a meeting on Monday.

An investigation is set to be ordered by the commission to look at whether some green sites are needed for industry and what transport links are needed.

Businesses are being asked to email their views to lesleyjackson@barnsley.gov.uk.
