Firms across Doncaster and South Yorkshire are being urged to have their say in order to paint a picture of business life in the town in 2014.

Businesses from throughout the Sheffield City Region are being invited to take part in Doncaster Chamber’s Quarterly Economic Survey for the third quarter of this year.

The aim of the survey is to give the chamber a snapshot of the local economy and to understand the issues facing local businesses.

Firms and businesses of all sizes can take part in the study which will provide vital feedback to help shape economic policy both locally and nationally.

The Quarterly Economic Survey is the first economic indicator of the quarter, published in advance of official figures and other private surveys, and it consistently mirrors trends in official data.

For that reason the survey is watched closely by policy-makers such as the Treasury, the Bank of England, the Office of Budget Responsibility, the EU Commission and the IMF.

Simon Dishman, Doncaster Chamber Policy and Information Officer, said: “The Quarterly Economic Survey is a clear example of how being part of a local Chamber of Commerce means you’re part of something bigger.”

To take part in the survey visit https://www.surveymonkey.com/s/G9JXB2M or follow the links on the Doncaster Chamber website - www.doncaster-chamber.co.uk

The survey will stay open until Monday, September 15.
