Motorists have been warned major resurfacing works is to be carried out in South Yorkshire and north Derbyshire.
The work is due to start on Saturday on the A628 Manchester Road in Barnsley between the River Don bridge and St Saviour’s Church.
Barnsley Council said it included carriageway and footway resurfacing and will be carried out using traffic signals and a convoy system.
It is expected to take two weeks and there may be some disruption to access.
In Chesterfield, repairs and other improvements are taking place as part of a £35 million package Derbyshire Council will spend on improving the roads this year.
The A61 Derby Road in Chesterfield will be resurfaced at a cost of £50,000.
Station Road, Chesterfield, Thompson Street, Newbold, Broomhill Road, Whittington and Damon Drive Brimington will be resurfaced.
