School dinner prices in Derbyshire have been frozen for when pupils return in September.

Members of Derbyshire Council’s cabinet have agreed the price of a primary school meal should stay at £1.95, and £2.30 at secondaries.

Coun Kevin Gillott, deputy leader and cabinet member for children and young people, said: “The benefits of a nutritious meal at lunchtime are well known. Children concentrate better in class and are ready to learn.
